Hugo thought about flying when she told about it so vividly. The wind through his hair... He would love it. "Ahh I want to join the Quidditch team so bad," he said. "Though I'm afraid I'm not good enough..."
"Well, it took me over a year to learn it and even know I can't make any space larger than the inside of a sock. But it's a start," he said and smiled. "I also had a go at the aguamenti charm which was a bit easier, I think I can produce a reasonable jet of water now," he nodded. "...For about three seconds..." But these spells were REALLY hard! "If I get really good at the Undetectable Extension Charm I could go live in my trunk," Hugo chuckled. "Of course I wasn't able to practise over the summer so I just learned all the practical bits and studied the incantation and movement carefully, and looked at the results on the train," Hugo explained.
Selina listened to him talk about Quidditch and smiled. She knew that Hugo understood where she was coming from when she spoke about flying. Maybe he didn't really understand the feeling or couldn't relate but he didn't judge her for her sentiments on flying. That really meant a lot to her. "Everyone starts in their backyard. Whose to say you are not great just because you haven't practiced on a Pitch or because you haven't really played against anyone. Trust me, every great player starts out that way. In their backyard by themselves and with their fathers." Of course Selina's backyard had a Pitch on it and her father was a Professional Quidditch player, but that was details.
When he spoke about the spells he had covered Selina looked wide-eyed. "That's amazing. Seriously I can't do that yet. Then again you Ravenclaws are over achievers," Selina joked.

If she had come out saying that she was asking things related to Hogwarts classes, her mother would probably have kicked her out of the house for at least a week. "I'll help where I can," she smiled. "Father gave me a few pointers this summer that should help with studying techniques."
Selina smacked her friend lightly on the shoulder jokingky, "Well all of us don't possess cookie magic to make us extremely cute everyday and all day long."
Kurumi's mother was quite the character. Selina could never understand why a mother would want her child to be anything but what they are. Kurumi was special and wonderful because she was herself. The more she tried to please her mother the more average she was- average was over rated. Especially when your fantastic.
But Selina's thought process took a screeching halt when Kurumi said her father had helped her with
studying techniques. Selina stuttered, "You-you told your father? Kurumi!"

She gave Selina a grin and laughed, as she joked calling Kyle Captain Kyle. She looked from Selina to Kyle and back to Selina waiting to hear the answer "Yeah, when Captain Kyle?" She joked around about Captain Kyle as well.
Selina laughed at Caroline who had continued her joke. She shot back at Kyle. "If we die at sea you better watch you ship ghost Captain. It will be me."

She began to smile at him at the new of Violet, but it was suddenly washed away by a look of fear, maybe worry. "Everything alright?" He looked at her intently yet nervously, twiddling his thumbs. "Oh!" He let a sigh escape. He thought she had been worried about something much more serious than mail- though he hadn't the slightest clue of what that might be. "I just told Baltimore to take it to Violet. But we've used him before, and he's never failed to send a letter. I wonder if I should take him to the vet.... But I haven't been getting anything fron her either! So unless she hasn't written, there might be a mail problem." He shrugged. Too late to fix that now! He could just talk to her if he needed to tell her something!
Selina felt her blood grow cold. He had said that his owl had sent the letters and she had seen Violet write him a letter every other day. So why had the letters not reached the pair of them. But then she felt the letter in her pocket burn. Nathan had told her to give the letter to Violet and she would have to give it to her later, but what if he was the one who had been keeping the letters from the two. He had spent most of his summer at Whitley Hall and had developed a thing for Violet. Nathan was a great guy, but he was not one to take his feelings lightly. It all made sense. Nathan had their letters. He was the reason why contact between the two did not pull through.
"Oh yeah, you un, should bring that owl to the vet. Um how old is he?" Her palms were sweaty. This was bad.
