Then again, his first feast had been especially vile. He wondered if that had changed...

Smiling at Ivory, he commented on the nickname. "Some of the guys thought Tibi was too young and started calling me Tibs and it just sort of stuck. Didn't help that my mother called 'Tibiiiiiii' after me when she dropped me off and I'd forgotten my owl's treats." Tiberius chuckled. It had been, at the time, rather embarrassing.

Tiberius smiled at the Gryffie prefect that came by as well, but didn't recognize her.

Looking to Treyen, Tiberius faltered a little bit. "Beauxbatons? It was...
Wonderful? I loved it? As he looked at each of the other students sitting in front of him, how could he say anything that made it seem like he would rather be there than at Hogwarts if it weren't for the family piece? The simple answer was, he couldn't. "It was alright. I wasn't imperiused a single time, which is more than I can say for here," he said lightly, hoping that the others that had been around were past it as he was.. mostly.

"When the students came here for the Tournament, I wondered how everyone was. We got some reports, but really only about the champions. Everyone wanted to know so much after they were back, so I couldn't ask much." He paused, folding his hands on the table.

"How has it been, here?"

Eyes shining with amusement, Ivory smiled. She could totally imagine the scene. Tibi at school shielding his face with his book back trying to look for all the world like he wasn't the "Tibiiii" that was being called back for owl treats.

Interested to see what he thought of Beauxbatons, she tilted her face slightly to listen only to suddenly feel her smile falter slightly.

Oh good, he was sitting. "Thank you." For sitting. Yup. Her NECK thanked him as well. And now Treyen needs to sit...now.

"Aww, 'Tibi''s cute." True, it did sound young, but honestly, who WANTED to grow up? Ellie will be calling him this now that she's informed. Mhm, mhm.

GASP.

"WHaaaaaaaat?" Imperiused? Here? Whatchyu talkin' 'bout?

Suddenly she was remembering a few weeks before, standing on the witness stand, the light blaring as she was interrogated. The moment when she was made to divulge details she hadn't talked about for all those years. Her throat dry for a minute she swallowed, composing her face into a pleasantly curious mask.

She'd moved past it all, she really had. Honest. It hadn't come up for years! It was only because she'd just recently had to retell it all, minute detail by minute detail, that she was even effected at all. She'd even drank the tiniest amount of butterbeer last week. Not from a bottle of course, but in a cup. That was progress considering she used to not be able to even look at a bottle without getting queasy. But no! She was past this! She could sit here and listen and nod and participate in the conversation and not give away anything. That was the plan.

SPOILER!!: Tibi saving the dinner conversation :)

He quirked his eyebrow at the comment that Tibi was cute, however, and simply shrugged. He looked to Treyen...

"Kaika plays for the Wasps? That's amazing! I hadn't been able to follow much..." He didn't get to know her well, but he was immensely grateful to her for that whole thing with Willie. "Your sister saved my neck on the train my first term." The more Tibi thought about it, the more he realized that most of his Hogwarts stories were, well, rather traumatic.

Switching back to something far less traumatic, Tiberius folded his arms on the table and leaned forward. "Yeah, Brielle's pretty nice. Monique, too. I didn't know the guys too well." He frowned at the missing professors, though. Turning to look up at the Dias, he realized there were only two faces he recognized - Vindictus and Tate. Everyone else was unknown to him.

Turnover like that couldn't be a good thing.

But he had to laugh at Treyen's assertion about his name. "What did you call me? Ty-T or something?" It wasn't a big deal what people called him, as long as it was simply a preference and not a put down.

He smile faded, however, when he heard Ellie's 'whaaaaat'

Looking at her and then to Treyen, eyes a little panicked, and then back to her, he stammered. "Erm, well, I guess this was before you started here. My first two years here were really, really rough. It's why I left." He bit his lip while taking a deep breath. He didn't want to scare her and obviously no one had talked about it. He looked at Ivory, too, not wanting to open up any wounds.

"It's not really good dinner conversation."

Topic avoided?

Whew.

Now she didn't even have to participate. Topic avoided and onto better topics. Alright so maybe she was the tiniest bit of a coward but she'd deal with that fact some other day. For the time being the speech was said, the food had appeared and it was chow time.

His smile turned sheepish as he waited for her to answer his question. Yes, he knew that what he just said was totally cliché and cheesy. And he was completely okay with that. His eyes widened and he could help but asking, "Where in Florida? I live in Miami!" He closed his mouth though, and let her finish.

"The violin, huh? Do you like it?" His mom had once tried to get him to learn to play the cello, but she'd settled for him teaching himself to play the guitar. That was the only string instrument he would willingly play. He briefly imagined himself at a violin or cello or piano recital, dressed up in an uncomfortable suit playing infront of his family. And he knew that he'd made a very good decision as a little kid not to play those instruments.

He chuckled softly. "Maybe a little insane..." But normal was boring, was it not? Insane was fun! He shook his head slowly while she was talking, smirking. "Okay, if you do it you can blame it on me, if it'll make you feel better about it." He was actually really curious to see if she would squawk for seemingly no reason. "I mean, you can say I dared you. You cannot say that I made the sound." Just in case she was thinking along those lines.

Hearing their combined laughter, Ivory felt her grin pick up in a one dimpled smile glad their senses of humor meshed.

Her head tilted to the side slightly, hair falling lightly over one eye as she looked at him in disbelief. "You live in Miami!?" Talk about coincidences. "But that's like a stone's throw away." Not literally, but closer than across the country. So perhaps a stone's speeding Hail Mary away? "I live in Fort Lauderdale," she explained eyes alight. "Well on the outskirts...sort of near the Everglades." But still in the same state, imagine that. What a small world.

Changing gears slightly to answer his question, she gave a small nod. "Very much so. Originally, my parents wanted me to play the piano but after a year of that I realized I just did not have wide enough hands." Almost to prove her point she lifted up a slim hand. "Of course, that was back when I was 9 so I'm sure that's probably not the case now." she admitted with a small laugh.

Realizing he was calling her bluff, Ivory grinned cheekily. Darn it, he'd caught the loophole. Very astute of him to make it a condition to not blame the actual sound on him. Giving a sigh of gigantic proportions as if it was a great sacrifice to entertain him, she gave a short nod sticking out her hand. "Alright, deal."
