... Lexi followed Jim's gaze and spotted Finlay. Sigh. She gave him a weak smile and a little wave. Perhaps she would catch him later.

He caught that slip and that wasn't the only thing he caught. Without commenting, Jim reached out a little finger and stroked the visible bruising on her face.

"You and Ivan were?" He grinned. Not as if he were implying anything, just that... he was relieved, clearly relieved. "Well you know I'm in."

Before he could say anything he found himself being dragged over to James and unceremoniously pulled down onto the bench.
He looked at James and gave a smile, laughing as the monkey hit him on the head and ran back to Lexi. Returning his semi greeting with a nod he looked at Lexi. Seeing the look on her face he cleared his throat and leaned across her on the table placing one hand on her back to comfort her. Yeah, he got it. "So James where were you on the train? I didn't see you." Though he also hadn't left his compartment at all either....
"Ivan has the monkey!fear." Jim commented to the table as a whole.
Hehe.
He allowed himself to imagine unleashing a whole bunch of them in the dorm in the middle of the night just to see how Ivan dealt with it. It'd be like... chaotic.
Dung would be flung.
He looked at Ivan at his question and shrugged.
"Snagged some space to myself and took advantage." He admitted, straight up. "There were people I didn't want to see."

"Cute Monkey" she smiled to Lexi...unsure what else to really say they didn't exactly know eachother other than in classes.
"Perfect." He winked at Kyle cheerfully and then practically inhaled some cauldron cakes, somehow managing to mind his manners as he did so.
He was looking forward to the first yearbook meeting. He was interested to see who would be interested enough to come along and get recruited and whatnot.
And also, there were already a few pretty girls on the team which would distract him nicely from other stuff.

Of course Finn could, being all super cool and all that. So Spike could too, right?! And with that sorted, he carefully put Killy and Kranky on the table so they wouldn't get squashed.

"Hey Spike." Jim shot a wary look at Finlay and fixed his attention firmly on the little 'claw instead.
"It was a summer." He offered by way of answering, shrugging one shoulder. "What did you do, kid? Anything epic?"
He didn't acknowledge Finn again, but he didn't tell him to rack off either.

She'd gotten sorted - which hadn't gone as she'd imagined. There hadn't been any dragons or slaying of monsters to prove merit. Thank the lord. Rather, an unattractive hat had told her she was not the brightest crayon (WHICH SHE RESENTED, thank you very much) As she was pretty sure that her pastel yellow nail polish was much prettier than the girl who'd gone before her.
(She'd had gunk under her fingernails. Unfortunate. She'd had a pretty face.)
But Dora congregated towards people she knew, the social butterfly she was. And the people she knew were sitting at the blue people table.
...so she went there. Skipped rather, curls bouncing and giggling softly, tapped Batman on the shoulder.
"Evening Batman." GIGGLE.
.... Jim raised one eyebrow and shot a speculative look between the giggly Gryff and Ivan.
