Dev grinned at the prefect and flipped her hair out of her eyes. She shook his hand firmly.
"I'm glad to be here. All my brothers were in Slytherin, and one of them still is. He's probably not here though, he doesn't do anything besides study anymore." Dev was very proud to be in Slytherin.

Dev stifled a few giggles at the girl's fall. When she stood up, Dev saw that the girl was rather short, much like herself. She stood up herself and held her hand out to the girl.
"I'm Dev," she said with a confident grin, wondering if the girl would take her as a boy on first impression like most people did.
"And you are?" She could use to know more people in her house.
