But, right, he was in no position to complain, for it was his own fault that Ellie fell short on words to him AFTER he greeted her properly. Or greeted her, or didn't greet her, whatever, his mind had many thoughts and it was proving to be quite difficult to keep track of everything. "I did," he ventured a smile, but did not look at her yet, "It is nothing, really," because it had been kind of free, and the rest was all on him, his father, and Aaron's abilities to sneak in. So, thanks to Aaron. Did he have it on him, though? The present? As a matter of fact, he did, his cloak had it, the boy had decided to carry it around in case he were to find Ellie on the train. Never mind that he'd been trying to avoid her as long as he could.
Reason for it? Unknown.
Quidditch. That was all it took for her to be more Ellie-like. "Yes, it was a last minute thing, but my father got us tickets, and I went with Aaron," he was going to explain who Aaron was, but since he made yet another mistake of looking at her, then he completely forgot about it and just smiled. "It was...," not his first Quidditch World Cup, "...pretty awesome, truth be told, we were just terribly disappointed by the outcome," he nodded, and his smile became smaller only because he was talking about England's loss, but she was talking to him, and that's all that mattered, no? "Vindictus refereed in there, did you know? I had a blast watching him do so." It had been rather funny, if not annoying to witness how the man was with all those Quidditch players around him.
So, present time? While Dallin decided if he liked Quidditch or not?
Yup. "So, I...kind of thought of you...and this picture was taken before the final game," he said, as he started to get a picture of England's team before the final match, they were gathered together behaving like childrens on a Christmas morning, but he'd rather seeing that image, than the one that overtook them once they lost, "Actually, plenty of pictures were taken before the game, but I took this one and...they sort of signed it," that was obvious, since the autographs were there, "Too bad they lost, though," because the picture would've been an even greater gift if they'd won.
And NOW, he stretched his hand to Ellie, holding the picture out for her. It was hers. Quote:

He'd gotten the hang of that place pretty quickly, despite ten-year-old muggleborn he'd been when he started school there.
He nodded in response, chuckling. "Yeah, I'm not too bummed about that," he winked. "I just hope that if I ever do need it I'll be able to find it." And he was pretty sure he would be able to, if he looked hard enough.
Or asked directions to it... but whatever.
He groaned softly when she mentioned OWLs. "Joy." He said sarcastically. Important exams meant studying, and Dallin absolutely despised studying. With a passion. His ADHD made his attention span regrettably short and studying seemed to be a form of torture for him.
His eyebrows shot up in a surprised manner at Ivory's heart-shaped hands. He glanced at Treyen in Ellie for a second before looking back at Ivory. Hm. Girls were smart if they could figure that out. He smiled slightly, showing that he agreed with her, now that she pointed it out. So... Treyen was a man of many words, wasn't he? A smirk found it's way onto his face again when the Hufflepuff didn't say much. He seemed very talkative to Ellie, though...
He nodded when the boy told him his year. Dal had now met two other fifth years and it was just the first day back! At the sudden change of subject Dal raised an eyebrow, but decided to just answer the question. "Yeah, I do." And he did... he just didn't play it much. "I'm sure you do too?" Because he probably wouldn't have randomly mentioned it if he didn't.
Ellie BEAMED at Dallin. So he DID like Quidditch... "YOU need to try out, then. This term." Do it.
And, she'll press the matter further later, because World Cup talk trumped Hogwarts Quidditch.
Mmmm, yeah jealousy. Uber jealous.
Ellie nodded to show she was listening. And that Treyen should continue in GREAT detail. Please.
BEAM. Of course, that was no surprise. You most likely couldn't describe a Quidditch World Cup as being anything OTHER than 'awesome'. It just happened that way.
But the outcome...SIGH. "Next year." Nod. Next year, they will win. Optimistic Ellie.
GASPPP "He did?!" Woahh. Vindi back out in the Pro-Quidditch world... That must...suck, actually... To be on the pitch, but not playing. Still, awesome.
Aw shuckkkss. He should NOT have thought of her. Not at the World Cup. There was no thinking allowed, just watching. Tsk, tsk, Treyen. Buuuut if it got her a present in the end....heh.
Blink. Blink.
What?
Ellie eyed the picture in his hand. The one with signatures on it. And just stared. Stared.
