Was it her fault? Jeanne's face got turned from smiling to concerned "I'm sorry." she said taking out her wand and wanted to fix it but before she could even say the spell, the boy quickly fixed it himself. "Sorry" she repeated. Looking at the book she felt a bit uneasy. Great, that's not how you make friends with people.
"Nice meeting you Theodore." she smiled at him "It's Jeanne... actually." she added. "What year are you in?" she started a conversation. Well she didn't know what else to say so she started off with some basic questions instead.
"Oh, no, don't worry," He laughed a bit nervously, "I'm just a bit... clumsy." Laughing it off, he stowed away his wand in his pocket and closed the book, marking his page. The brunette had an accent that was a bit different from everyone else. Of course, Theodore sounded distinctly American, but it was always a pleasant surprise for him to find others that didn't possess accents native to the United Kingdom.
"Oh, a sixth year." He smiled proudly, a bit overtly so to mask his lack of confidence. Taking a look at her, she seemed as if she was the same age. "Are you a sixth year too?"
