"It's been too long." It really had been. She'd been so busy during the summer that they hadn't seen enough other. It was kind of sad, but he'd been really busy too. But now it was okay, because he was seeing her, and it was all good.
As Finlay turned around to face her, Mia caught the flash of the badge on his shirt and she raised her eyebrows but said nothing. She would just pretend that she hadn't seen it. Her friend had a big enough ego as it was and she was soooo not fueling it right now.
She could be mean like that sometimes.
"Yes it has." She looked him over and lent up against one of the compartment doors and folded her arms across her chest.
