We'd have settled that before hiring you had that been the case."

"Nor do I doubt your information is anything less than accurate," he continued. He reached for the file and opened it, thumbing through the paperwork as he spoke. "Your application and your employment are both just fine, Mr. Andrei. I just needed to speak with your regarding some last minute legalities, that's all." He frowned as he didn't immediately see the form he was looking for.
