"I'm glad YOU'RE here," Quinn said with a grin. "I was starting to think I wasn't going to know anyone going to Hogwarts." She listened with rapt, excited attention as Isobel described Hogwarts. "It sounds amazing!" she said afterward. "Are you hungry?" she asked, suddenly remembering the huge load of candy she'd bought earlier in the week. "I've brought all kinds of things: ice mice, dragon chocolate fudge, Drooble's, and a few jumping gummy bears left. You're welcome to help yourself, too," she added to Luke. "I'm always happy to share." She flashed a bright smile.

"Speaking of Violet," she said, "Have you spoken to her recently? Or your other friends....Max and what's-his-name?" She gave an embarrassed giggle. "I'm awful with names. Especially when I didn't know them well ti begin with." The thought of Isobel's friends made Quinn think of her own. She'd had a few friends in Beauxbatons, but her best friend had been Elouise. And of course, there was Léon. She sighed to herself. Léon was her first crush. She had always hoped he would ask her out, but nothing came of it. Well, there's bound to be some nice boys at Hogwarts, she told herself firmly. I can't keep dwelling on the past. Besides, he's probably found a girlfriend in the time I've been here.
