Part of Isobel was kind of glad when he didn't really press any deeper into their past. It was tricky, and complicated, and she had tried to block that part of her life out of her memory now. So she really didn't want to be thinking about it right now, maybe after the interview, but not right now.

She did have a smug smile on her face when he mentioned her being more than qualified. Well. Of course. And she knew her knew what she specialised in. Maybe some part of already knowing each other was quite an advantage, minus making it really awkward in a sense.

"I know I could've gone anywhere." She'd been approached by a couple of law departments before she'd came back home. "London's home...." She shrugged, smiling at him. "I'd been abroad 10 years...I wanted to come home." And she knew she could get an auror position here, so...why not?
