While she fixed her hair she saw him touch his cheek on reflex and grow red. Perhaps it was his hair that made the red seem so dark.

When he made the joke she had to try hard not to laugh, to fall back into their usual routine of being friendly and joking, "You're not forgiven because..." Selina sighed and continued, "Because I wasn't right either. I shouldn't have said those things. They were always on my mind, but to verbalize them was... wrong of me. Really wrong of me. And I would say I'm sorry, but I promised myself I would not apologize first." Stubborn as always.
