Selina rolled her eyes at Adam. It was a classic Adam excuse,
he needed time to think. People never needed a person to console them on the other person's clock. Help was needed in the moment. Afterwards it was just empty, well-calculated words.
Then he did something surprising. He admitted to his stupidity... that was shocking. Did he finally see what he had put everyone through with all of his selfish and punishing behavior? Maybe Selina was being a bit judgmental, but it was a break through.
In one swift motion she jumped to him and wrapped him in a tight hug. She pulled her head away from the hug to give him a kiss on the cheek, "Took you long enough you big dummy."
Suddenly she remembered she was mad at him and pulled away, "This does not mean you are forgiven."
