Selina crossed her arms over her chest as Adam began to speak. He went on about time apart and the two of them needed to breath. But the scowl on Selina's face did not leave. Adam took a step back when she crossed her arms and made a mean looking face. Taking a second to recompose himself he started.

And you know, we both didn't want that..Even though it may seem like I wanted that at the moment, I was just way in over my head...I know if I say 'I never meant to hurt anyone' would not work on you..."He looked up to see if Selina finally realized that Adam understood her ways of allowing him to fix things up...
He couldn't give her a sob story, that just wouldn't be enough, and bring Adam on a lower level to Selina, in her eyes.
