A small smile, very small one, appeared on his face. "Ready to go home, eh?" but the boy stayed by the door, as if pondering whether to enter and stay...or keep moving after wishing the former Seeker good luck.
Jake had found himself a compartment and was all settled, having found that there was nobody in this section of the train to talk to, the young man had found a place to sit.
Currently, he was going through the plans in his head. As soon as he reached the station, Jake would apparate to his mother's house by the beach, and he would stay there for a few days... probably the whole week if he could do it.
THEN it would be off to Romania... for a fortnight. Then back to the comfort of his dad's place, where he would stay until the tour... with his dad.
And then... the future.
That big ole scary future.
As he was brooding on this, Jake heard a familiar voice say his name and he glanced around. The door was open and Treyen was there. Wow... Jake HAD been distracted.
"Suppose I've no choice whether I'm ready or not," he smiled at the boy's question. "How about you? Good summer planned?"
Whether it was awkward or not, Jake couldn't tell. Hmm.
