Simon noticed as Kurumi didn't respond verbally about whether she was ok with Kyle joining them, but the ackwardness still seemed to be there around all of them. He smiled softly at his fellow sixth year as she tried to be understanding even though neiither of them knew the true extent of what was going on with the younger Gryffindor. "That's ok...not like she's around to remember much anyway."
The captain debated what to say or what to question since even at 16 he was unfamiliar with the minds of girls as he was at Kurumi's age. Not to mention she seemed to have locked herself up at the thought of actually voicing why she had asked such a question of him. "Was there...was there something on your mind?" he finally asked, his voice filled with gentle tentativeness, not wanting to push her away.
