Those words stung too. They were the same words that her and Adam had said to each other in the broom cupboard a couple weeks back. Back then, they still were holding onto an unseen hope. Now, that hope had vanished in a thick mist.
Kurumi bowed her head for a moment feeling a wave of emotion about to overtake her...and would have if it had not been for Lexi's arm being wrapped around her shoulders.
"Thank you," she chirped watching her nibble on the cookie.
She then looked over at the staff table and wondered what sort of end of the year speech would be given.

You're welcome. Hey you should try to come to Diagon Alley and have tea with me or something... or I can help you with your shopping before start of term... I mean if you want to," Lexi said.
Why was conversation so awkward and such tonight? It was really getting to her that she couldn't seem to feel or BE normal. Perhaps she should just excuse herself and go hide in the loo until it was time to head out to the train. That was a fabulous idea...
She cast a glance around and decided that she would indeed skip out soonish.
