Besides, what kind of upperclassmen doesn't look out for their housemates? Hmmm. Besides, I really meant everything I said to you. You are special. You'll see it soon enough," Lexi said as she leaned in so the girl could hear her.
She got another pat pat as well. Kurumi was a good kid. Lexi knew she was going to go far.
Kurumi sniffled a bit trying to hold back whatever tears were trying to come out. She had been a little emotional at the end of last year with Cam leaving, but this year...so much MORE had happened. At times, she felt like her little second year body was going to explode. Snuggling a little closer to Lexi, Kurumi smiled up at the girl.
She was glad to have such a kind and caring role model.

Kurumi then turned her violet gaze over to Simon and the tears in her eyes were quelled for the moment. "
I promise I will bake cookies for the team again next term," she nodded. She had some more research to do this summer with cookie recipes.

Kurumi blushed and nearly threw her hood over her head just to make sure that none of her hair was turning pink. Lexi would frown if she did that though, so her hands did some strange little hand dance before finding a place on her lap. "
Th-Th-There is no need to thank me," she said. Really, she should be thanking him AGAIN for helping her through that scary Charms lesson.

I hope we can see each other again," she blushed.
Kurumi then looked around the table and at all her fellow Gryffindors who were all in high spirits...save for someone who it pained for her to look at. Kurumi felt her heart crush in her chest and she turned her eyes away from Adam. She wanted to rush to him, throw her arms around him, cry into his chest...but she knew that wouldn't change anything.
Pulling her box of fortune cookies close to her, she looked in and found the special cookie she had made for Adam.
Did she have the courage and strength to give it to him now?
