Alex reached for a piece of pie and nibbled on it absently. She was going to be a second year soon which meant she was a first year which meant - "Aaaw." he grinned. Ickle firstie, they were so adorable; Alex had to fight the urge to reach over the table to pat the dear child.

"So how was your first year, Samira?" he asked trying to start a conversation, a little breakfast conversation was always nice. With a bagel in his hand he nommed on it waiting for an answer.
