The box still open, "if you want this instead, might be more your taste." Another muggle sweet, a bag of lollipops.
"Didn't mean to hurt your feelings or anything." She smiled, an apologetic and generally kind smile - one that would no doubt throw the girl for a loop.
Oh, he really needed to have a serious chat with the Sorting Hat after this was all over.
"No, Kyle," Vindictus said shaking his head.
"This is not the time to appease people with sweets. Go stand over there by the crates of polish."
Now all he had to do was wait for the teenage boy to make it to the ground before he could begin his interrogation.
Would he be able to remain civil if the broom were destroyed? Hmmm . . . .
He snapped out of it when the boy rudely addressed him.

"THAT is NOT how you address your elders, young man!" Vindictus replied rather sternly and his voice grew louder (and angrier) as he continued to speak.
