It was the same as the last time they had argued, the same as the last time when she had shown him just how much he was cared for, even when he wasn't sure he deserved it. He didn't expect the constriction that suddenly had his voice tight, or the pain in his chest, the increased fear in his gut. She let him be completely honest, with others and with himself, and it wasn't always something he was prepared for.

Dipping his head down, he rested it against her shoulder, holding her as if he was afraid of letting her go. "So am I...."
