Still, he begrudgingly took the sheath from his leg and held it out. The sheath was heavily warded for some reason, and yet the dagger within still reeked of eeriness.

"A man killed my wife with this dagger. The same one that killed my son, and injured my best friend. I used it to return the favor when he tried to kill me. I often forget I have it, and I do apologize for that. It's just... a reminder, to me. Of the time I failed to protect my family. That I should never let my guard down, lest I fail to protect whom I have left that is dear to me."
