I'm already not liking this. I know I should wait to judge after I've seen it (if I choose to see it) but J.K. Rowling is extremely private about her personal life for good reason. I assume they aren't going to portray her in a completely positive light to "add" to the story. I know no one's perfect but to sell films, filmmakers do tend to make up things that aren't true about them
at all.
The sad part about this all is that we were the generation that got to experience the magic and imagination of Harry Potter and grow up with these books. They were a part of our childhoods. However, this generation is going know about J.K. Rowling through "biopics" like these, or "unauthorized biographies" and as much as I hate to admit it, people aren't all that smart when it comes to deciding between what to believe. They're most likely going to believe what's in the film where the story is hand fed to them rather than do their own research. I mean there are people who call themselves hardcore "Potter fans" because they watch the films but say the books are too boring to pick up so the next generation doesn't seem to have much of a chance.
Oh and I'm not trying to be mean or anything but if Poppy Montgomery was a real fan, then she would know that she really shouldn't be doing something like this. I'm just saying…
