He was about to say something else when a Hufflepuff student spoke up.
"Sorry, but you are incorrect. What you just stated is the basic definition for flying mechanics. Take a look at the board - we're focusing today on broomstick mechanics." "Now back to broomstick mechanics!" Vindictus enthusiastically exclaimed and leaped off the table. He pulled out his wand and levitated two identical broomsticks. Slowly, he brought them to a position over the table where they hovered.
"Study these two identical broomsticks for a moment. When you think you're ready, raise your hand and tell us what parts of the broomstick that you can see. Spells don't count!" Emily smiled, good start to the lesson so far. Peering up at the now hovering brooms Emily studied them.... well it seemed a bit obvious to her... so there must be something she was missing.
She raised her hand again,
"well there is the broom handle-the long staft... then there is the broom tail... and footholds? for when your racing at top speeds it helps you stay on your broom and provides the rider with more stability?"
Emily wasn't 100 percent sure but it sounded reasonable.
