"She's doing much better, thanks." She said with a small smile; she sensed there was something he wasn't saying about his parents, but she wasn't going to push it. They had just met, after all. "I love her a lot, and I'm all she really has left, since my dad died..." Why did she just tell him that? Her cheeks blushed scarlet.

"Oh. I'm sorry. I know that must be hard..." Adelyn replied, reaching over to put her hand on his shoulder, trying to offer some form of comfort. "We still have right now, though, right? Let's not think of end of term quite yet."
