But she had started speaking again, and he found himself attempting to keep a straight face as he imagined her at the top of Mount Everest. Poor mountain. It had probably been scared witless the moment it had seen her at the bottom. Managing to hold back the grin that struggled to slip out, Jared shook his head.

"You can if you try," he said, tones completely serious.
