After sleeping and cooling off the night before, the 32-year old Transfiguration Head made his way into downtown London early, and was on Level 6 before his other employees had arrived.
After turning on lights, Armen walked down the short hall passed the work cubicles and went into his office. He hung up his coat and then made his way over to his desk to begin sorting through the pile of mail that had been delivered that morning.
About 15 minutes into his work the door knocked and he called out a cheery, "Come in, it's open!"
Hearing a voice only a few seconds after he'd knocked, Adam jumped away from the door, a little startled. Then, on realizing what he had done, he laughed silently, and mentally shook himself. Since when was Adam Stemp nervous? Oh yeah, since this was his first job. Emphasis on the word '
job'. Adam wasn't made for working. Nuh uh.
But he was going to his best to try and be good at what he was to do. Make Lorelai proud, if nothing else. Taking a deep breath, he pushed down on the door handle and let himself into the room, moving forward to stand a little more than a meter in front of his Boss' desk.
"Good morning. I'm Adam Stemp, new employee in the Apparition Division," he said, and it came out a lot more cheerful than he'd realized he was. Did he just say 'good morning'? That was a first for Adam.
