The snort that came out of Kellen at his friend's hesitancy was one of amusement. Really, Sabel? Afraid of a cute little pony?

Ignoring Sabel's face, Kellen took a sniff and zeroed in on the boy's left coat pocket. There was sugar in there; he could smell it. His neck stretched out over the fence and he lipped at the fabric. Pony-Stern was nothing short of a shameless mooch.
