Carter, still dressed in his Quidditch robes, headed up to stands after making sure that his teammate was alright. Climbing the stairs he spotted Marie sitting off by herself. He began heading toward her... and was halfway there before realizing he didn't have any reason to be up in the stands -- and even less of a reason to be heading toward Marie.
He must have been on auto-pilot. It seemed like just yesterday he would have a match then come see Marie and then go off to celebrate, no matter the score. But, in reality, that had been two terms ago.
Hoping Marie hadn't noticed he frantically looked around for someone he knew.
Spotting Kita, he gave a relieved smile. Awkwardness avoided.
He headed toward her. "Hey Kita!" he said brightly. "Did you enjoy the match?" he asked trying to hide the disappointment of losing in his voice.
He then noticed what he assumed was a friend of hers sitting next to her. A very cute blonde friend. "Hey. I'm Carter." he said formally introducing himself.

Before she knew it she heard someone said 'hey to Kita' she whipped her head around a few seconds after Kita turned around. The 'Hey Kita' came from Carter. Her eyes got big. Caroline smiled as he introduced himself.
