Neptune hadn't been expecting a KISS. Granted, like Kellen Stern, Jake TOTALLY missed his romantic window and was late with the kiss. She'd SORT of thought he'd take the bait, wedged between the shelves of magnificent books, while they were seating cozy on the floor and kiss her there.

He hadn't, but still.... he did.... FINALLY .... kiss her. Eventually.

How long had it taken?

...and it was over before it started. Neptune had her eyes closed and everything! She was READY for kisses. Didn't have the faintest clue what he was still talking about.

Giggle. "Finally, Jacob Morgan. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me."
