They are very clever creatures; they weaken humans' minds, making them weak enough to be overpowered by the creature. So, one way to handle them is to outsmart them, through observation." He explained as the flyers went around the room.
"Now, we should work in pairs for this practice..." Eino said moving towards the table where the
bowls of eggs were placed.
"Each pair will take a bowl of eggs. They bowls contain five eggs, however, only one of them is a real egg and the other four are fake, and will not break. One of you will spread the eggs around, while the other tries to memorize them by their design. Then, the student that has memorized the eggs will close his or her eyes while the other moves them all around, except one, the real egg! Finally, the other student will open his or her eyes and attack the eggs that have been moved with a simple Knockback Jinx. If you hit the real egg it will break, so be careful! This practice is supposed to help us sharpen our observation skills, since the moving eggs will represent the pogrebins that follow you around, but the real rocks remain immobile. Any questions? If not then let's get started!"
"Who wants to partner up with me...?"
Kurumi giggled. Why wasn't she surprised that today's meeting would be focusing on the soul sucking rocks. This was Eino we were talking about after all.
Kurumi's eye lit up as she heard Eino describe their first practice session.
Eino! This is brilliant! she exclaimed in her head mentally clapping her hands together.
Walnut took a keen interest in the eggs on the table in front of Eino and decided that they deserved further investigation. Jumping up onto the table, Walnut began sniffing the eggs only to find that they didn't smell, well, very egg like. There was, however, the faint smell of egg coming from somewhere...
Oh dear, Walnut was going to cause trouble. She knew she should have left him in the Gryffindor common room. Rising from her seat, Kurumi made her way towards the table and attempted to scoop up Walnut who danced easily out of her hands. "
S-S-Sorry Eino," she blushed chasing the feline around the table. "
I can be your partner if you'd like."
And hopefully Walnut would get off the table before any jinxes went flying...
