It was a pity that Hogwarts was not holding a ball this year. As Brae returned to his seat, Amadeus remained by the radio. "Have your meal. I'm in the mood for different music."
Kneeling down on a single knee by the radio, he leaned forward curiously and began to fiddle with the dials on the radio. He had learned how to use one well enough from his time in the muggle studies classroom and began to tune the dial and change stations until he hit something that sounded rather familiar. Something that would bring nostalgic feelings to both of the boys. It was an Italian song that they heard while on the island of Ferdinandea. "What do you think?" He smirked.
Braeden's dark eyebrows rose with surprise as Deus very simply informed him that he was in the mood for different music. Different music, huh? Well, well, well. Deus was turning out to be quite the little dancer; Braeden had no idea the Ravenclaw boy was so fond of music and dancing and all that jazz. He had always seemed too distracted by books and a fancy shmancy lifestyle. The Gryffindor boy shrugged his shoulders, unable to comprehend why Deus - or anyone, for that matter - would leave delicious pasta on a table to cool and dry up instead of enjoying it. But oh well, that was his friend's decision and he wasn't going to nag him about it. He had his own lasagna to finish.
But it was then, a few moments later, that new music began to fill the air. At first, Braeden thought nothing of it. Just another nice tune to listen to while eating. But then he began to pay more attention and noticed there was something familiar about the melody and the language of the song. It was Italian. He'd heard this before! As Deus turned to him with a smirk, Braeden remembered exactly where he'd last heard the song - Ferdinandea. It was the group's last night in the island and all they had left after the volcano destroyed everything was an old radio that Vince kept messing around with.
"I think you're trying to ruin my dinner and make me cry," replied Braeden to Deus's question, and whether he was being serious or just teasing was hard to tell. It was no secret to Deus that Brae could be a crybaby if he felt sentimental enough. "Roderigo and Riley should be here
" muttered the boy thoughtfully. It seemed that after spending that amazing summer together, they all just sort of separated once they returned to Hogwarts. The only two that became closer rather than distant had been him and Deus.
