Keefer leaned over and took hold of Jake's hand. Quill in hand, he drew a circle on the back of his hand and put a dot in the middle. "There, that's a cootie shot." Hopefully Jake would understand how ridiculous they were now. And if Keefer thought something was ridiculous to believe, it must be.

Spike was intrigued by these cooties. He totally wanted one to add to his collection of pets. Just how did you get hold of one? Something told him they didn't just live in the grass to be collected...
And then he overheard something totally SHOCKING. And awful.

Thanks?!" Spike looked at Jake and Keefer, dismayed. Whatever a cootie was, that boy...had just shot it! That was terrible. "You've just shot a cootie? A poor ickle cootie. I could have looked after it as a pet...but no, you SHOT it." His bottom lip began to wibble, and he shook he head sadly. "With a quill. Like target practice. That's just not right..."
