Ed looked around and sure enough, there was no blonde Slytherin in sight. "Hmm, so she's probably in the part of the lake where there's still water, or in her common room." he concluded. Then he sat down on the snow, not minding the cold and put on his skates. Then he waddled towards the frozen lake with Heather close behind, tightened his scarf around his neck and stepped into the ice.

Then he geld out his hands for Heather to take. he wouldn't want her to fall.

Well, he did. But not that kind of fall
