WHY was that the Professor was playing THAT?! Great, now Old MacDonald was stuck in her head, and Vashti had to consciously stop herself from opening her mouth and singing along. But the urge to sing was so strong... >.<

"Yeah," she said instead, putting her arm across Kita's back. "I'm ready." And she started to take a step forward with the leg tied to Kita's. But now she was also unable to resist the urge to sing along any longer, and so under her breath she quietly sang/mumbled, "Old MacDonald had a farm, ee i ee i oh..."
Kita felt her right leg, the one tied with Vashti's step forward and she stepped forward on that leg. She was glad that the rope was still keeping their legs tied together because she knew she would have fallen had her leg not been tied with Vashti's. She stepped forward with her left leg and felt it wobble. Uh-oh!

Kita glared down at her feet and willed her right leg forward again. Why was this harder than it should be? She looked up at the Professor as she heard, quite loudly, that everyone was going to have severed limbs. Maybe that was going to explain the weird things that were going on. Like all the wobbling. Quite confused, she absent-mindedly touched her head and felt just the one ear. "Uh-oh," she whispered, "Not an ear!"

Kita heard a faint mumbling; although it wasn't a mumbling to her, more someone singing in the opera. But she knew that voice. She looked round instinctively at the person singing and smiled. "I didn't know you were a singer," she whispered to Vashti, "Shame the song got changed though."

She looked back around again. All of a sudden there were a lot of noises entering her ear. Whispers turned into yells, squeaks turned into high-pitched screams and the tiniest of scurrying was as if she was in the middle of a stampede. All this noise was making Kita's lone ear turn and twitch to the carious directions of the sounds she could hear. This wasn't good for Kita, someone who got distracted easily. Maybe this explained why she was wobbling around so much.

And it was happening again. Although, this time, it was getting worse. She was losing balance and before she knew it, she was grabbing onto Vashti for support. "Vashti, help!" she whimpered, tightening her hold on Vashti's shoulders.
