He was a little distracted to say the least, jumping again a little when he heard the teacher's voice over his shoulder. Glancing up, he spared a slight smile and appreciative nod out of respect before looking back down at his paper.

It was seconds before the class was announced as being over. A wave of relief washed through him, and without a moment to lose or a pause, he stuffed his quill, parchment and transformed compass into his bag, zipped it shut and left the class as quickly as possible. He managed a quick nod to the professor on the way out, but that was about it. He need to get out and he needed space. Things were just becoming too convoluted.
