Sierra shook her hand a little, trying to relieve some of the pressure of having used it to carve twice into the wood and twice into the table. She glanced over at her book, looking to find a third rune to carve into the table. She absentmindedly twirled a lock of her hair as she read over the list of runes and what each of them meant.

Kenaz sounded promising, but then again, so did Jera. Both runes had qualities she'd hope for in a subject she rarely understood. In the end, though, it was Wunjo she went with. The symbol, which looked sort of like the letter P with very sharp points, seemed fairly easy to carve.

Which was definitely not the main reason she chose it. Wunjo stood for success, achievement of goals, and rewards, three qualities that would be, in her eyes, more than appropriate for this class.

Burin positioned over an empty area on the table, Sierra began.

"wunjo wunjo wunjo
wu wa wi we wo
wun wan win wen won
wo we wi wa wu
w w w u u u n n n,"

...she chanted, her mind filling with thoughts of succeeding and gaining rewards.

"wunjo wunjo wunjo
wu wa wi we wo
wun wan win wen won
wo we wi wa wu
w w w u u u n n n,"

...she chanted a second time, adding the two slanted lines toward the top. With that, she was done. Her hand ached, and she needed a short break. All this carving had been hard work!
