Now that the drama had ended, Vindictus shook his head and placed the two brooms he was holding on the ground with the other. Time to continue the lesson.
He walked past the line where the students were lined up and turned to face them.
"When commanding your broom, you must use a firm voice - the command will not work properly if you're scared or doubtful."
"Open your right hand and place it over the broom. In a firm voice, say the command 'Up!' and the broom should rise up and hit your open palm. As soon as the broom handle hits your palm, grasp it or else the broom will float back down to the ground."
"Everyone - give it a go!"
Oh, yeah, this class was going to be
super easy. She hoped so, at least. Sierra pretty much already knew this much. She'd never have tried out for the Quidditch team otherwise. Sure, she wasn't an expert, but she liked to at least think she knew a
little bit when it came to flying.
She spread her arm wide, her right hand finally out just above the broom's handle.
"Up!" she commanded, and up the broom rose, coming into contact with her hand quite nicely. Sierra enclosed her hand around the broom and held it so that it wouldn't fall back to the ground.
With the broom successfully in her hand, Sierra took a moment to eye her surroundings once again. The drama seemed to be over, at least. Sierra sighed softly then glanced at her broom.
