She wasn't sure if he would ask why her day sucked. She didn't mind either way, if he did or didn't. She liked talking to him about anything. But he didn't ask. "Less suck-ish. Alex glanced down at Ellie, slightly horrified.
"What was what?" he asked trying to sound natural and not like he just had been caught swinging his hips...
He looked down at her with a smile and saw that she was excited. Oh man. She would be so totally disappointed. Could he make up a new plan in his head while they were walking? Like take a quick turn to the Room of Requirements? He could always trust the room to come up with something, but they had already passed it and it would be weird if he turned around. Oh man, oh man!
"It's a... Um..." Blink, blink.
"It's a surprise." he said, yes that sounded good. Now would he go through with it? Ugh, he didn't want to be laughed at.
"Why don't you guess?" he smirked wiggling his eyebrows at her. Come on, give him some ideas.
