Okay.
Treyen leaned back on his chair. Even if he totally wasn't fond of the person doing his reading, he'd act civilized. He owed that much to Nolan.
His eyes were on the cards...and then raised an eyebrow at Jake. "Go on, you're supposed to interpret the meaning, Jake." He gestured towards the cards.
Jake looked at Treyen.
"She never mentioned a question," he said simply. Or had she? Bishop had spoken... a lot. He'd been zoning in and out.
"So a general meaning. Clearly."
The young man opened his mouth to speak, but he was soon interupted.
"Yes. Treyen. I know that," he ended up hissing between gritted teeth. He had merely been CHECKING that he was doing it right.
"Okay, so... past is The Lovers..." Jake said uncertainly.
"So, that means... you've faced difficult positions in the past, maybe. A struggle between two paths," he added all mysteeeeeeeeriously.
"Present... Star. That's like... a new you. All fresh and falala and broadening your horizons. It's probably more accurate if it's reversed," he mumbled, moving to the next one. Yes, Treyen was more stubborn than one with open horizons and renewed and stuff. Always a little... GRRRR.
"And for the future... the Hanged Man," Jake said, with a sigh that indicated he was glad to be nearly finished. He flipped through his book after a moment, and found one of the possible meanings.
"Sacrifice in the present to reap benefit in the future... hmm... maybe something more like... you face a wait before good things come to you. And it says rebirth. Maybe if you wait a bit, you'll be reborn... Ew."
Jake shut his book heavily and gave a strained smile at the boy before glancing at Bishop and muttering to himself,
"Total rubbish."
He handed the cards to Treyen and sat back.
