Stephen’s room door flung open and Lexi stepped inside. “I thought you were going shopping with your dad today?” he asked. “…He went with his wife instead,” Lexi answered, in a low voice that was barely audible. “Can I stay here for the rest of my life?” “I guess. Why do you seem so depressed?” Stephen asked.
Lexi just shrugged. “Will you take me shopping instead?” “Sure, just get out of that depression state,” Stephen grabbed his jacket and slipped it on. Looking back, Lexi was still emotionless. Walking over to her, Stephen hugged her tight and smiled. “Let’s go,”
