"I hope you're mum writes back soon. It would be good to know you have her on your side. Should let your older brother know as well. I'm sure he'd be proud of you."
Emily stiffled a yawn, she would need to get a nap soon before quidditch try outs began.
"Quidditch is great, I would love to be on the team, but only if I'm good enough. Ravenclaw needs a good team this year."
"Well, Slytherins aren't
automatically jerks, or purebloods, or rich.
We aren't pureblood, and we..well now that my mum's family is part of the picture again we're quite affluent. And in Hogwarts history, two of
the most significant Slytherins were half-bloods. Sort of ironic, considering....
Well, anyway, the attributes for Slytherin are ambition, cunningness, leadership, and resourcefulness. Honestly, that doesn't sound
bad to me. And Hufflepuff? Hard work, tolerance, loyalty, and fair play are priceless," she retorted.
"I know Henry is proud of me......And I'm sure you'll do great at tryouts. If you were good before, I'd bet with some practice you'd be wonderful," she said confidently. "Maybe you should go sleep some, though. You seem
really tired," she suggested, shrugging her shoulders and directing Emily a small smile.
