When she entered she noticed that desks were paired up. As she walked in searching for a desk she introduced herself to the Professor, " Howzit, Professor. I'm Satine Farris, Sixth Year Ravvie. I hope you had a great break!"
She glanced around the classroom and saw an empty spot beside Dallin and paused for a moment debating if she should sit by him or not. She didn't want to seem needy or annoying so she made the decision to sit at the pair of desks across from him not at the desk paired directly with him. You never knew who might want to sit by her...right...
She sat down and pulled out her rainbow quill that made taking notes more entertaining and a purple notebook with a butterfly on the front of it and set them on her desk.
Satine glanced over at Dal with a smile and then opened her notebook and began writing on the first page. Then she tore the page out and folded it up and passed it to Dallin with a mischievous smile. As she handed it to him, she whispered, "for your eyes only..." with raised eyebrows trying to convince him that it was muy importante.
As she waited for Dal to read her note, she turned in her desk and watched the door to see who all came in so she could be prepared for who was going sit at her partner desk. Quote:

"Good morning, Mr. McKinley," she replied instead, simply. Setting her pen down finally as she decided she wasn't going to get much more work done. As the next girl entered, Renée was both surprised and not surprised by the brightness. Of the girl's hair, of her demeanor. It seemed there were all kinds at Hogwarts, which was the exciting part of the Wizarding world. Along with the many things that could be learned. "Good morning, Miss Farris. Pleasure to meet you, and in fact my break was quite lovely," she replied with a smile, watching as Satine seemed to go through some consideration as to where she should sit. And as she chose, Renée kept watching. It seemed the bright girl knew Dallin, at least. "Be careful with the note passing. You don't want to risk the wrong person getting hold of them," she warned, before going back to waiting for others to arrive. Quote:

"That's good to hear, but I'd still be careful." It was fine for now, but once things got moving, rules would need to be followed. A matter of distractions and all, and notes could be just that.
But at that, she decided it may as well be time to start class. As long as nobody interrupted, she'd be fine. "Well, I guess I'll just get started then," she said quietly to herself, before moving to stand in front of her desk. "Welcome, all of you. Obviously, as you all know, this is Divination, and I'm Professor Bishop," she said to the room as a whole, then. "While I'm sure you all know the basics, there's a chance some of you don't know all of them, so that's where we'll begin." Glancing back at the chalkborad, she watched as the words vanished, preparing for what would be next. "If anyone wants to offer anything to start, feel free. You can say what you might already know, anything like that. It's good to know, but I'd also like someone to tell me what Divination is." Start at the beginning, work from there. Always a good place. Dallin gave Satine a smile as she sat down in front of him. He raised an eyebrow questioningly, but just as he read it, the professor saw it. He looked up at her innocently, wondering if her words were a warning to not pass notes. She didn't seem angry about it, but he decided it was better not to chance it, and he didn't pass a note back. He did smile slightly, though, at Satine's reply to the warning. Yeah, it was completely harmless.
At the question, he raised a hand. "Divination is trying to see the future, mostly, right? To know what's going to come. I know that there's a lot of different ways you can do so, like tea leaves and Astronomy and stuff." Not the best answer, but at least it was something.[/COLOR]
