Dearest Septimus,
I know it’s been years since we talked, but I want you to know something. Please don’t show it to your father. I really don’t want him to know about Adam. But you have a right to know.
You see, soon after I left you I met another man. (I won’t mention his name.) I married him and had a son, Adam Burn, just a year or two younger than you are. He is your half-brother and looks a bit like you. He is only a few weeks old now. I hope that one day you boys can meet. But if you can, please don’t let your father know. At least not until I feel comfortable seeing him again. I’m just… not ready for that kind of drama. That’s why I left. There’s far too much drama in being with your father.
But anyway, please won’t you keep a secret for your mum? I can tell right now that Adam is going to be such a nice person. If you ever meet him, which I truly hope that you do, perhaps we may be reunited as well.
Like I said, you had a right to know. And now you do. I think you and Adam will get along quite nicely. You are brothers, after all.
Please don’t hate me,
~Mum
Adam took the letter and read it , at least twice just to be sure of himself and Septimus' evidence.Grimacing a little , Adam didn't want to hurt Septimus, the kid was just too energetic and overjoyed that he may have found his older long lost brother.
"
Septimus.."Adam started out quietly in a gentle voice."
Although it can be a tad true...there are many Adam's in this world. And i may look like your mum, but I find that a coinincidence."Adam said , giving Sep a weird smile."
I'll ask my mom something..."
