The girl received an confused stare from Melanie. That was... good? Good? "I... yeah." Melanie would just go with it. "I want it off though." she informed her, with a little bob of the head. Bubblegum + Head + Hair + Robes = BAD. The girl seemed to think her plan to use scourgify would work though. The corners of Melanie's lips lifted slightly into a small, hopeful smile as the younger girl nodded.

As soon as it was off of her, the better. Melanie was rather impatient to clear the sticky substance away, so when she introduced herself she decided to just get it all out at once. "It's Melanie. Melanie Lockhart, 7th year Hufflepuff.... would be world record bubble blower, but that's scrapped now." Sigh. "Nice to meet you Harley." Oh! Harley... Like the motorcycle company? That would be an easy name to remember. Melanie liked motorcycles, because they were cool, but she doubted she would ever actually want to get on one, because they were supposed to be dangerous and-

The issue at hand was the bubblegum... The bubblegum and how, at the moment, it was irking her!

Melanie's gaze drifted sideways as another voice chimed in. Normally she would have been glad for the company, but the fact that she had gum all over her dampened her mood quite a bit. Not to mention, Melanie didn't exactly want people to see her with the chewed up candy on her head. It was very unflattering. At least he was being helpful, though. "Thanks. Evanesco is a good idea..." Melanie considered the second year's suggestion for a moment, with a thoughtful expression on her face, before adding, "Actually, I think it would work quite well. I wouldn't want to risk, say, vanishing my hair or my head away instead, though." She needed her head for things... important things. Thinking, for example.

Frowning slightly, Melanie pulled her wand from its holster and held the tip of it to her head. Scourgify should work. Melanie hesitated to perform the spell, though.
