Heather burst out laughing. "No not jury duty and no coupons." Heather smiled. "Yeah it did, Teach." She glanced over at the trash can her curiosity was bugging her now. She cursed and then blushed immediately.

She got back up and walked over to the trash can. Heather bent down and got the note out and sat back down next to Rafe again. She stuffed the note in her pocket deciding that now wasn't the best time for tears.

Rafe didn't really know what to make of the letter. He had a feeling that she really wanted to open it, but perhaps she wanted privacy to do so.
"If it's something you don't want us to see, we're fine to leave to give you some privacy," he suggested, glancing over to Derian, who then spoke.
He rolled his eyes...
'Hope to die,' yeah right?, Rafe thought. "For a moment brother I thought you were talking about yourself," he grinned. Oh, the joys of revenge, he certainly got some a time or two and it always ended badly.
