"Come in." Ethan wasn't really surprised how quickly he had a visitor. Even less surprised when he charmed the door to open and the visitor was revealed to be Jake. Well, good.
To be honest, Ethan had been pretty close to going to the wrong office too. After all, this was his fourth at Hogwarts, if one counted the two occassions he'd found himself in the Astronomy tower.
Jake entered the room, taking a moment to look at the room.
The bookcases took Jake's attention at once, and he regarded them closely through his glasses. That... was cool. Jake wanted a bookcase one day. Right now... he'd always kept books under his bed.
Next, the young man glanced at the drapes, having no reason to really notice them yet. His eyes skimmed over the gramaphone and the records before finally coming to rest on the photographs.
The one of him was still there... but Jake also, of course, noticed the one of Truebridge with... those formerly known at the Lawsons, and he had a sudden urge to slam it down, throw it out of the window or burst into tears. But eh, maybe later. Right now, Jake directed his attention to the fireplace where he continued to stare. He wished he could wear sunglasses with these things.
"You asked for me to come see you, sir," Jake said. It was more a statement than a question. He was half expecting Truebridge to shout at him. Half.
