Noticing her examining his badge, he gave a soft chuckle. "Some find it scary," he said with a confused voice. He obviously wasn't any different to wear that, but to some, it was just 'impossible' to talk to prefects. Odd.

Looking for a change, he asked "So how do you like the castle so far?"

"I really hope that I'll be gaining a lot so I can make the others in my house proud and of course I will never hex anyone! I think my style in talking is enough to let people know what I think." The girl giggled and hoped the prefect would think better of her now.

Giving her an understanding smile, Evan said "Don't worry, it's alright." Aww, she seemed really embarrassed about it. He gave her a friendly pat on her shoulder. Chuckling, he shook his head. "Nooo, that's cruel." But she had made him think too and well, he liked he idea. He would certainly do that now, for a treat from the kitchen for example. Heheh. Power of that badge was amazing.

Chuckling again, he said "Calm down, no one's getting a hard time!" She was so worried about that, while there was no need for her to. Unless she did something really extreme, it was fine.

Smiling again, he said "Welcome. 'Tis my job." He winked. He'd still explain her even if it wasn't his job, really. Because he wanted the firsties to feel at ease. As much as possible, of course.

"Oh, that's good," he encouraged with a nod. Hopefully, she could earn them some points. It'd be nice to win the house cup three times in a row. Grinning at her next comment, he said "Yes, probably." Hehe. She really had a unique way of... speech.
