Poor guy.
Mia laughed and was tempted to lie back on the floor because her bum was getting numb on this cold floor. "Eh...I think the sterotypes for each house are bogus. I mean Ravenclaw are supposed to be the smart ones but they came in last place, last year. And the Slytherins have a bunch of nice people in their house." Or maybe she just hadn't meant the nasty ones.
Jake thought she had actually been thanking him for his help. Mia shrugged her shoulders, oh well whatever, she wasn't about to correct him.
"I think I need to get off this floor. I'm starting to lose the feeling in my body." Problem was she didn't think she could actually move right now.
"It's fine," Jake shrugged. It wasn't fine, so he'd just lied, but something told him just to go with it.
Anyway. Stereotypes. Yes.
"Ahhh, I suppose so. I knew a Hufflepuff who was just... well, he made Head Boy and I remember thinking 'how on Earth did he manage to become a Hufflepuff'," Jake remembered. Good old Dominic Denton.
"Plus, Slytherins aren't necessarily mean... just cunning. I fit the mold for Hufflepuff. Hardworking, just, true, patie-... uhh... maybe not patient... and loyal."
More or less.
Getting up? Great, time to be tall again. Jake smiled and pushed himself to his feet first, before extending a hand to help Mia. Not because she was a girl, but because he had been brought up to help everyone up when they were down.
He just took that too literally.
