"I am not crying!" Ellie lied, defensively. She wiped away more 'nonexistent' tears. Whatever.

Wait, his fault? No. "And even if I was," she sniffled, "It wouldn't be because of you. It would be that woman's fault. Or Gingers." Or both, honestly.

Ellie shook her head. That teacher didn't deserve trust. "Neither do I." She just needed to leave. Ellie folded her arms and glared at the woman. And sniffled again.
