Sierra had heard the boy speaking. Really, she had. At first, though, she couldn't imagine that the boy was talking to her. Her mum? The Minister of Magic? She only wished! Obviously the boy was talking to someone else.

...but then he kept talking, and since no one else was replying, Sierra spared him a glance and saw that he was indeed looking at her. "Oh, my mum? No, my mum was the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic," she replied. "Is that who you're talking about?"

...and just how did this boy know how her mum and what she looked like, hmm? Maybe he was just really into wizarding politics or something like that. "Uhh, hi, Rex. I'm Sierra Greingoth," she said. Was this boy a Slytherin?

Now this is the kind of talk Sierra liked to hear! Finally! She'd made it to a place where calling the Hufflepuff's Puffers just might be an accepted idea after all. Well, to some at least. Apparently, there was a Hufflepuff cheerleader amongst them. Sierra sort of half-laughed then gave the boy who'd made the comment a small smile.

Now he was the type of person she needed to get in good with.
